The Community Council are up for re-election this year. The present CC members will stand down on July 7th 2026.
We are looking for anyone who resides in our CC area and have an interest in local issues to express an interest to serve our Community.
Participation does make a difference. Feeding your views through the CC is the first stage in local government.
Issues can be roads, timber transport, planning applications, land use (forestry, farming, nature, rewilding, recreation), education, health service, public transport, renewable energy and many more.
There are presently 6 CC meetings held during the year with occasional other events to attend and so it is not too big a commitment. Meetings are normally held on the 1st Monday of Jan, March, May, July, Sept, Nov.
We would urge anyone to consider putting themselves forward as a representative of the Community. The more varied voices the better.
