Advance notice of resurfacing works on A7 north of Linhope
The works are provisionally programmed from Tuesday 29th July to Thursday 14th August 2025, between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00 each night.
BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential resurfacing works on the A7 Trunk Road North of Linhope, approximately 12 miles south of Hawick, to address areas of deteriorating carriageway. The works are provisionally programmed from Tuesday 29th July to Thursday 14th August 2025, between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00 each night, with no works currently planned to be carried out on the weekends.
Traffic will be diverted off the A7 via the A698, A6088, B6357 and B7201 to rejoin the A7 at Canonbie, and vice-versa for Northbound traffic.
Local access for residents within the closure will be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
